The Nease Panthers won the last time they faced the Keystone Heights Indians, and things went their way on Friday too. Nease breezed by Keystone Heights on the road to the tune of 59-19. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Nease has managed all season.
Nease's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was McKenna Owens, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds. Owens hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Abilgail Robinson, who scored two points along with seven assists and six steals.
The win got Nease back to even at 7-7. As for Keystone Heights, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nease's road trip will continue as they head out to face Burns Sci-Tech at 12:00 p.m. on January 6th. As for Keystone Heights, they will take on Middleburg at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
