The Mifflin Punchers were the 66-57 winner over the Olentangy Berlin Bears when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Mifflin's rough 64-39 defeat to the Bears on Saturday might stick with them for a while. Mifflin was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-13.
Mifflin lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Bj Woody, who scored six points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tariq Johnson, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and two blocks.
Mifflin's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Olentangy Berlin, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-9.
Mifflin will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against the Stars at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. Centennial is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. As for Olentangy Berlin, they and the Monarchs will face off at 7:30 p.m. on February 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
