West Milford were able to grind out a solid win over Jefferson Township on Friday, winning 21-8. The success made it back-to-back wins for West Milford.
After a totally unproductive first quarter, the West Milford offense stepped up its game and put 14 points on the board in the second quarter. Jefferson Township wasn't quite able to keep up, scoring 8 to make it 14-8 heading into the break. The other side of the ball continued to do well for West Milford in the second half and held Jefferson Township to 0 points.
The victory bumped West Milford's record up to 5-3. The defeat dropped Jefferson Township's record to 2-6.
West Milford will square off against Passaic Valley at 1:00 PM next week. Jefferson Township will look to defend their home turf next week against West Morris Mendham at 7:00 PM.
