It's playoff time, and Trinity had no trouble coming through when it counted. They snuck past the Neumann-Goretti Saints with a 26-22 victory on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Shamrocks sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Trinity can attribute much of their success to Mason Boyer, who threw for 132 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a pair of TDs on the ground. That's the most rushing yards Boyer has posted since back in October of 2024.
Trinity didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Marcus Yeager and Maddox Jarzynski.
Trinity's win bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Neumann-Goretti, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-5 record.
Coming up, Trinity will challenge Northwestern Lehigh at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Shamrocks will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. Neumann-Goretti does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
