After two games on the road, Parkville is heading back home. The Parkville Knights and the Kenwood Bluebirds will face off at 5:30 p.m. on December 20th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
While it was all tied up 26-26 at halftime, Parkville was not quite St. Paul's equal in the second half on Saturday. Parkville lost to St. Paul's on the road by a decisive 63-47 margin.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Cameron Alexander, who scored 11 points. The matchup was his third in a row with at least ten points. Anthony Council was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Kenwood, who are still winless after their fifth contest. They took a serious blow against Forest Park on Saturday, falling 75-39. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Kenwood has scored all season.
The losing side was boosted by Neo Feehan, who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Dasan Johns, who scored nine points.
Parkville's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Kenwood, their defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-5.
Wednesday's match is shaping up to be a blowout: Parkville hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having only averaged 51.8 points per game. It's a different story for Kenwood, though, as they've been averaging only 46.8 points per game. The only thing between Parkville and another offensive beatdown is Kenwood. Will they be able to keep them contained?
Everything came up roses for Parkville against Kenwood when the teams last played back in December of 2019 as the team secured a 73-44 win. Does Parkville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Kenwood turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
