Freeport's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Shelby Cosson, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. Those three blocks set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Sienna Fisher, who scored five points along with seven rebounds and seven steals.
Freeport's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Samson, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7.
Freeport will head out on the road to face off against Ponce De Leon at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Samson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Geneva County at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Geneva County is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
