Dreher is 6-0 against Eau Claire since December of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Dreher Blue Devils will be home for the holidays to greet the Eau Claire Shamrocks at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Dreher unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They were beaten by A.C. Flora 91-52. While losing is never fun, Dreher can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 78th, while A.C. Flora is ranked 20th).
Despite the defeat, Dreher saw an underclassman step up: Jamere Singleton scored 20 points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jordan Brown, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought game, but Eau Claire had to settle for a 55-52 loss against Charlotte Christian on Saturday.
Dreher's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Eau Claire, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.
Dreher didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Eau Claire in their previous meeting two weeks ago, but they still walked away with a 60-55 victory. Will Dreher repeat their success, or does Eau Claire have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
