It was a good run, but the Cardozo Clerks unfortunately witnessed the end of their ten-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Lake Taylor by a score of 50-48. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Cardozo has scored all season.
Several Clerks players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cameron Young, who scored 15 points along with four steals. Young has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Darrius Seward, who scored five points along with 17 rebounds and four blocks.
Cardozo's loss dropped their record down to 10-1. As for Lake Taylor, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.
Cardozo is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Banneker at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2024. Banneker is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games. Lake Taylor will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Manor at 7:00 p.m. on January 12, 2024.
