Football Recap: Kamiakin Comes Up Short

Kamiakin dropped down to 7-2 on Thursday, ending the team's six-game streak of wins. They and the Richland Bombers were almost perfectly matched up, but the Braves suffered a 15-14 loss. If the Braves were looking for revenge after losing 21-20 to the Bombers when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Richland, they pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 33.3 points over those games.

Richland found their leader in sophomore Micah Mayer, who rushed for 94 yards and a pair of scores.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kamiakin will square off against Lewis & Clark at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Richland, they will challenge Mount Si at 7:00 p.m. on the 7th.
