The Fremont Tigers won the last time they faced the Skyline Titans , and things went their way on Friday too. Fremont strolled past Skyline with points to spare, taking the game 71-53.
Fremont got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Deyonte Spears out in front who scored 17 points along with five steals. Another player making a difference was Jaylen Wheeler, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and six steals.
The victory got Fremont back to even at 11-11. As for Skyline, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-12.
Fremont will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Oakland Tech at 7:00 p.m. on January 31st. As for Skyline, they will be playing at home against AIMS College Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (AIMS College Prep is ranked 669th, while Skyline is ranked 645th).
