Waverly took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They never let the Seward Bluejays get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for Waverly, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Ava Amos and Laynee Michel scored both of Waverly's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Coincidentally, Waverly and Seward will both be playing Conestoga the next time they take the pitch. Waverly will head out to face Conestoga at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while Seward will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
