1A District 6 recap September 4, 2013
Fans got a thrill when Bryce Jenkins and Robert Weinberg connected against Christ's Church Academy. The connection went for 57 yards, the longest such play in 1A District 6 this season.
Bell scaled the state rankings by moving to 398 from 432 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Bulldogs were able to make move up by topping Cambridge Christian 52-40.
Hilliard's dynamic duo of Jenkins and Weinberg proved to be unstoppable against the Eagles, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Jenkins threw for 82 yards and Weinberg had 82 yards receiving.

Jenkins put up the best numbers through the air as Doug Allison's team bested the Eagles.
Brad Cates was the most successful running back in 1A District 6 this week. He ran for 181 yards on 21 carries as Bronson topped Christ's Church Academy. Brock Brower also contributed to the rushing game with 124 yards on the ground.
Cates was a passing and rushing force as the Eagles defeated Ocala Christian.
Hilliard's Jenkins and Weinberg have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Jenkins has thrown for 82 yards this season, while Weinberg, a 5-foot-8 receiver, has 2 catches for 82 yards. Austin Ritchey from Bell leads the league in rushing with 312 yards.
The Red Flashes took down the Eagles 48-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Armani Scott ran for 133 yards in the win.
