After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Zion Christian, Wellspring Prep were happy to have found some success on Friday. They took down Muskegon Heights 31-15.
Wellspring Prep found their leader in underclassman Saabiria Abdullah, who scored 14 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Abdullah has scored at least 25% of Wellspring Prep's points. Biiftuu Damboba was another key contributor, scoring 10 points.
The victory got Wellspring Prep back to even at 1-1. As for Muskegon Heights, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Wellspring Prep will be playing at home against Crossroads Charter Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Muskegon Heights will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Orchard View at 7:00 p.m. on December 19th.
