Cambridge was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from 10th to eighth in Ohio Valley AAAAA. The Bobcats vanquished Marietta 41-7 earlier in the week.
University extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Fairmont, 32-13. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
Wheeling Park's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Zach Phillips threw for 84 and two touchdowns and Quashad Pugh had 40 yards receiving. On the ground Bryce Ingram chipped in 63 yards.
The Patriots' Phillips and Eric Banks have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Phillips has thrown for 655 yards this season, while Banks has 16 catches for 331 yards. Morgantown's Chazzy Thomas leads the league in rushing yards with 676.
The marquee game in Ohio Valley AAAAA this week will be the clash between Wheeling Park and the Mohigans. Chris Daugherty's team comes into the matchup ranked ninth in the state, while Morgantown ranks seventh.
Brooke and Point Pleasant played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Brooke eventually emerging with a 34-33 victory.
