Burroughs scaled the state rankings by moving to 413 from 458 this week, the biggest jump in Pacific. The Indians were able to move up by defeating Arcadia 37-14.
Muir added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Crescenta Valley, 39-26. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.
Ryan Meredith threw for 220 yards and 4 touchdowns. He went 8-11 with 0 interceptions.
Connor Van Ginkel was the best receiver in the league this week as the Falcons lost to Muir. Van Ginkel tallied 4 receptions for 84 yards. Tyler Hill helped Crescenta Valley's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 26 yards.
Leading Pacific in both passing and receiving yards, Crescenta Valley's Brian Gadsby and Chase Walker have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-2 quarterback Gadsby has thrown for 2,159 yards this season, while Walker has 38 catches for 610 yards. Burbank's James Williams leads the league in rushing yards with 1,077.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Paul Schilling's team takes on the Apaches. At the moment, the Falcons are in second, while Arcadia is in fifth.
Hoover lost to the Bulldogs 49-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
