Little Chute is 0-9 against Freedom since May of 2017 but things could change on Friday. The Mustangs will welcome the Irish at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Tuesday, Little Chute needed a bit of extra time to put away Waupaca. They won by a run and slipped past the Comets 3-2. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Hayden Burton spent all nine innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on three hits.

On the hitting side, Danica Pfrang was excellent, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jenna Whalley, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.
Meanwhile, Freedom was not the first on the board on Monday, but they got there more often. They walked away with a 7-2 victory over Marinette. The win continues a trend for the Irish in their matchups with the Marines: they've now won six in a row.
Freedom also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Kailey Stordeur gave up just two earned runs on five hits and racked up six Ks. Stordeur has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jovie Smith, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Marlee Smith, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double.
Freedom's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Little Chute, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-9.
