The Cedar Ridge Raiders will face off against the Round Rock Westwood Warriors at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Cedar Ridge's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Round Rock Westwood's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Round Rock Westwood will be up against a hot Cedar Ridge team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. Cedar Ridge came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against Hutto. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Raiders have posted since April 20, 2024.
Hudson Hartgrove made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
In other pitching news, Jason Mazoch tossed a big game, striking out nine batters over 4.1 innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits (and only one walk). Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

Back at the plate, Diego Olivas was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in doubles. Another player making a difference was Jake Shoemaker, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, Round Rock Westwood came up short against McNeil on Friday and fell 4-1.
Cedar Ridge's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Round Rock Westwood, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9-1 record this season.
