McKinleyville kept up with Fortuna until halftime on Saturday, but afterwards: not so much. The Huskies put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 6-3 win. Considering Fortuna have won eight matches by more than two goals this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory made it two in a row for Fortuna and bumps their season record up to 17-1-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 21 goals over those two matchups. As for McKinleyville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Fortuna will challenge rival Eureka at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, McKinleyville is set to take on their familiar foe St. Bernard's at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
