The Johnson-Brock Eagles put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 77-48 win over Southern at home. Johnson-Brock has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matchups by 23 points or more this season.
Camden Dalinghaus was his usual excellent self, scoring 25 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Casen Dalinghaus, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Johnson-Brock's victory was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.9 points per game. As for Southern, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Johnson-Brock will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Freeman at 7:30 p.m. on February 8th. Freeman will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak. As for Southern, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Diller-Odell at 7:15 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nebraska (Diller-Odell is ranked 178th, while Southern is ranked 156th).
