Ouachita Parish hasn't had much luck against Neville recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Ouachita Parish sitting on four straight wins and Neville on five.
Ouachita Parish is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They managed a 28-22 victory over Parkway.

Ouachita Parish's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Macario Dade Jr, who rushed for 152 yards and one score. Dade Jr's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 104 rushing yards. Another player making a difference was Montrell Conner, who rushed for 119 yards and one touchdown.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Ouachita Parish was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 271 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 211 rushing yards in five consecutive games.
Ouachita Parish's defense stepped up as well, laying out Kb Williams three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Jeremy Jones, Brandon Bruce, and Dylan Berymon, who each picked up one sack apiece. Another thorn in Parkway's side was Jones, who picked up a sack, forced two fumbles, and made four total tackles.
Meanwhile, Neville got themselves on the board against Barbe on Friday, but Barbe never followed suit. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Buccaneers 42-0. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana football rankings (they are ranked ninth, while the Buccaneers are ranked 46th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.
Ouachita Parish better focus on containing Parker Robinson and Ja'Marion Roberson as the pair were huge in Neville's win. Robinson threw for 205 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 75% of his passes, while Roberson rushed for 61 yards and two scores on only eight carries. What's more, Robinson racked up 140.6 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October. Emaude Sledge did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 83 receiving yards.
Ouachita Parish's record is now 9-4. As for Neville, their record now sits at 9-3.
We should be in store for an exciting game as the two teams have no problem gaining yardage. Ouachita Parish has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 376.3 total yards per game. However, it's not like Neville struggles in that department as they've been averaging 363.1 total yards. With a pair of commanding offenses duking it out, the defenses are going to have their work cut out for them.
Ouachita Parish and Neville were almost perfectly matched up in their previous meeting back in October, but Ouachita Parish suffered an agonizing 38-37 loss. Can the Lions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
