The Show Low Cougars will take on the Blue Ridge Yellow Jackets at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Show Low will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
On Tuesday, Show Low made easy work of Winslow and carried off a 14-4 win. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won seven contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Addi Clark made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up four earned runs off four hits. Clark was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs.

In other batting news, Riley Heuett and Lyndie Wallentine did most of the damage at the plate: Heuett went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Wallentine went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Wallentine is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played. Angelee Villa was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Show Low hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Blue Ridge). Everything went their way against Monument Valley on Tuesday as they made off with a 20-9 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what the Yellow Jackets needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.
The team relied heavily on Bailey Barton, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and two triples. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. Korti Martinez also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Show Low's record is now 9-0. As for Blue Ridge, their record now sits at 4-2.
Tuesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Show Low has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .572. However, it's not like Blue Ridge struggles in that department as they've averaged .565. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Show Low's way against Blue Ridge when the teams last played back in April of 2025, as Show Low made off with an 18-2 win. Do the Cougars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Yellow Jackets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
