Langley is on a four-game streak of home wins, while Wakefield is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Saxons will welcome the Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Langley's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Wakefield's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Langley took a six-run defeat the last time they faced off against McLean, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Norah Jacques spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up 17 Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

Langley hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Wakefield got the win against Falls Church on Monday by a conclusive 15-5. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by six runs or more this season.

Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Langley hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.7 home runs per game. However, it's not like Wakefield struggles in that department as they've been averaging 1 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Langley got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in May of 2025 against Wakefield by a conclusive 10-0 score. Will the Saxons repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
