The New Palestine Dragons will venture away from home to take on the Greenfield-Central Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. New Palestine will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
New Palestine is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Knightstown 12-0 on Monday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Jesse Isaacs made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.
In other batting news, Jacob Morris was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Neal, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
New Palestine always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Knightstown only posted an OBP of .318.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Greenfield-Central faced off against Yorktown on Wednesday. The Cougars walked away with a 9-4 victory over the Tigers. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 20, 2022, but that streak is no more.
Brady Martin looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits.
At the plate, Greenfield-Central let Dylan Luther and Jacob Welch run wild. Luther went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run, while Welch got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs. Greenfield-Central is undefeated when Welch posts two or more runs, but 2-5 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Hayden Zellers, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
New Palestine's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Greenfield-Central, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
New Palestine took their win against Greenfield-Central when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 6-0 score. Will the Dragons repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
