The Ayersville Pilots won the last time they faced the Tinora Rams, and things went their way on Thursday too. Ayersville came out on top against Tinora by a score of 33-25. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Ayersville has scored all season.
Ayersville got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Taylor Craft out in front who scored two points along with 12 rebounds and eight blocks. Craft has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times she's played. Lanie Sheets was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with four steals.
Ayersville's win bumped their record up to 14-1. As for Tinora, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-7.
Ayersville will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Fort Jennings at 7:30 p.m. Fort Jennings is no doubt hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses. As for Tinora, they will head out on the road to square off against Montpelier at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Ohio (Montpelier is ranked 245th, while Tinora is ranked 256th).
