Alton won the last time they faced Granite City and things went their way on Monday too. The Redbirds came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Redbirds.

Alton never let Granite City on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 27-25.

Rayna Raglin paced Alton's offense, picking up nine kills. Raglin got some help from Gracie Milford and her 14 assists. Milford was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Alton's victory bumped their record up to 9-18. As for Granite City, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-14-1 record this season.

Alton has already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against East St. Louis on the 7th. As for Granite City, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Lutheran North on the 8th.
