Calvary Christian Academy extended their winning streak to 13 games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Cayden Daughtry. The Eagles put the hurt on the Tampa Catholic Crusaders with a sharp 95-75 win on Saturday with plenty of help from Daughtry, who shot 74% from the field on his way to 42 points in addition to six assists and six rebounds. His big performance that evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 23 points.

Jadus Sorhaindo was another key player, putting up eight points and ten boards. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 8.2 rebounds per game.

Tampa Catholic's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Neo Flores, who went 6-for-10 from beyond the arc to rack up 27 points, and Skoot Donald, who shot 40% from the field en route to 21 points and five assists. That was a full 36% of the Crusaders' points, marking the third time in a row Flores has posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mehki White, who earned six points and six boards.

Calvary Christian Academy's record now sits at 5-0. As for Tampa Catholic, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Calvary Christian Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Highlands Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Knights have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Tampa Catholic, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Maryknoll at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
