Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Redondo Union). They came out on top against the Pioneer Titans by a score of 63-54 on Friday. The victory was familiar territory for the Sea Hawks who have now won four matchups in a row.

Despite the defeat, Pioneer had strong showings from Aryanna Reyes, who went 6 of 14 en route to 21 points and three steals, and Riley Almendarez, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine boards. Reyes is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 19 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Leanne Castro, who posted eight points.

Redondo Union pushed their record up to 5-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.7 points per game. As for Pioneer, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Redondo Union didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 72-24 defeat against Sierra Canyon on the 11th. As for Pioneer, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 61-56 victory against Buena Park on the 10th.
