Wallace is 1-9 against Dundy County-Stratton since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Wallace Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Dundy County-Stratton Tigers. Wallace will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
Wallace managed to keep up with Paxton until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Wallace's tough 72-46 defeat to Paxton might stick with them for a while. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Wallace has suffered since December 1, 2023.
Wallace's loss came about despite a quality game from Matt Lungrin, who scored 18 points along with three steals. That was a full 39.1% of Wallace's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Masen Messersmith, who scored seven points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, even though Loomis scored an imposing 66 points on Saturday, Dundy County-Stratton still came out on top. Dundy County-Stratton walked away with a 75-66 victory over Loomis. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Dundy County-Stratton.
Jackson Kerchal was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 27 points and 19 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Lane Bybee was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with nine rebounds and two blocks.
Wallace's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Dundy County-Stratton, their victory bumped their record up to 10-3.
Wallace was dealt a bruising 67-36 loss at the hands of Dundy County-Stratton in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Wallace was down 47-16.
