Basketball Game Preview: Oakhill Christian Royals vs. Wisconsin School for the Deaf Firebirds

Oakhill Christian is a perfect 3-0 against Wisconsin School for the Deaf since December of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Royals will welcome the Firebirds at 6:00 p.m. Oakhill Christian has given up an average of 50.8 points per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Oakhill Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They walked away with a 70-61 win over Waukesha Christian Academy on Tuesday.

Colson Henkel and Isaac Vogel were among the main playmakers for Oakhill Christian as the former dropped a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds and the latter posted 15 points in addition to eight boards and five assists. With that strong performance, Henkel is now averaging an impressive 2.3 blocks per game. AJ Heesen was another key player, putting up ten points along with six rebounds and four blocks.

Oakhill Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in three consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Wisconsin School for the Deaf was not able to break out of their rough patch last Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 66-22 loss at the hands of Mountain Top Christian.

Wisconsin School for the Deaf's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Oakhill Christian, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Oakhill Christian strolled past Wisconsin School for the Deaf in their previous matchup back in February of 2020 by a score of 49-35. Do the Royals have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Firebirds turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
