Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Locust Fork Hornets, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They were beaten by the Red Devils 63-33 on Friday. Locust Fork's defeat signaled the end of their 12-game winning streak.
Locust Fork's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of "dino" Dylan embry, who rushed for 138 yards and a touchdown, and Jalon Boatright who gained 137 total yards and two touchdowns. Dylan embry hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for three straight games.
Locust Fork's defeat dropped their record down to 12-1. As for Fyffe, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 12-1.
Locust Fork does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Fyffe will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Pisgah at 7:00 p.m. on December 1st. Pisgah has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 640 points over their last 13 contests.
