Julian Fernandez Drops League-Best Effort on Friday
Starting off the list is Corcoran's Julian Fernandez, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Fernandez picked up a sack, forced a fumble, and made four total tackles.

While Strathmore might've come up empty on Friday, Isaiah Colunga wasn't going down without a fight. Despite the loss, Colunga was still balling out as he rushed for 47 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 165 yards on seven of 19 attempts.
With the defeat, Strathmore broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-2. Colunga and Strathmore will head out to square off against Granite Hills at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.

Jose Cortes Goes Supernova in Lindsay Win
The second Lindsay player making an appearance here is Jose Cortes, and for good reason. He rushed for 136 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.0 yards per carry.
Farmersville had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Cortes it was a similar story. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Cortes saw the Aztecs), he rushed for 107 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries.
