Triton Central didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Centerville to a completion percentage of just 43.8%. The team can thank Henry Kemper for the heroic effort on defense: he. Sadly, that's becoming something of a trend for Triton Central; they were averaging 59.7%completion percentage earlier this season, but in their last three games they've fallen to only 59.7%.
Triton Central's defense didn't let Jace Hollendonner, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece.
Meanwhile, Northeastern took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 34-7 victory over Shenandoah. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by 22 points or more this season.
Triton Central better keep an eye on Trent Deloney. He was instrumental in Northeastern's win, rushing for 137 yards and one score on only 12 carries, while also picking up 32 receiving yards. Deloney also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making five total tackles and defending one pass in addition to snagging an interception.
Triton Central's record now sits at 9-1. As for Northeastern, their record is now an identical 9-1.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Triton Central has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 185.7 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Northeastern struggles in that department as they've been averaging 184.4 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
