The Biggs Wolverines had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Willows as Biggs made off with a 59-39 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Biggs also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Biggs got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Emilio Vera out in front who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. Vera set a new season high mark in steals with seven. David Ibarra was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
Biggs has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Willows, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.
Biggs will square off against Redding Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Redding Christian is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Willows, they will challenge Orland at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
