With a playoff win on the line, Lutheran South Academy rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Saint Mary's Hall Barons. The win continues a trend for the Pioneers in their matchups with the Barons: they've now won three in a row.

Lutheran South Academy got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 30-28, 25-19.

Aniston Collins paced Lutheran South Academy's offense, picking up 23 kills. Collins got some help from Addison Musgrove and her 28 assists. Collins was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Despite the loss, Saint Mary's Hall still got an impressive performance from Breanna Benavides, who had 29 digs and four aces. Benavides has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 63 times she's played.

Lutheran South Academy's victory bumped their record up to 29-7. As for Saint Mary's Hall, their loss ended a four-match streak of away wins and brought them to 26-8.

Looking ahead, Lutheran South Academy will take on St. Joseph at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Saint Mary's Hall does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
