Everything went Red Lion's way against Spring Grove on Friday as they made off with a 46-21 win. Followers of Red Lion probably expected little less of the squad in a season in which they have collected six blowout victories.
Red Lion started the contest off right with 36 first-half points. Spring Grove wasn't quite able to keep up, scoring 7 to make it 36-7 heading into the break. Although Red Lion wound up losing the second-half battle, they still had enough in reserve to win the war.
The victory was the 3rd in a row for Red Lion raised their record to 7-2. Spring Grove are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
The teams are both focusing on improving their conference standings in their upcoming contests. Red Lion will square off against Dallastown at 7:00 PM next week. Unlike Red Lion, Dallastown will be limping in after taking a loss. As for Spring Grove, they will go up against South Western. These teams both have had a rocky road up to this point with seven consecutive losses for Spring Grove and nine for South Western.
