Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Wildwood Wildcats, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They fell to the Bears 58-54. Wildwood was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Dixie County apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2018.
Terriyon Bryant and Kevonte Corbin certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Bryant dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds, while Corbin scored 12 points. Manny Solomon was another key contributor, scoring four points along with five rebounds.
Wildwood has been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-18 record this season. As for Dixie County, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.
Wildwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Dixie County, they will take on Williston at TBD on Thursday. Williston is coming into the contest with five straight wins on the road, meaning Dixie County will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory.
