The Catholic Memorial Crusaders will venture away from home to face off against the Sheboygan North Golden Raiders at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Sheboygan North took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Catholic Memorial, who comes in off a win.
Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Catholic Memorial turned things around against Waukesha South on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Blackshirts by a score of 9-4. The Crusaders' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Cal Weber made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
In other batting news, Jesse Sobczak was a standout: he scored a run while going 2-for-3. He also put up two RBI, which were his first of the season. Ian Kawczynski was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-5.
Catholic Memorial always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Sheboygan North is still winless after their game against Green Bay Southwest on Tuesday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Fighting Trojans. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Golden Raiders have suffered since April 16, 2024.
Mark Williams and Tristin Hundt stepped up to the plate in a big way. Williams went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one triple, while Hundt scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Eric Paarmann, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Catholic Memorial's record is now 2-3. As for Sheboygan North, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.
