The Lewiston Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Parkview Christian Patriots on Monday. Lewiston comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last six games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
Last Friday, Lewiston had to suffer through a rough 59-15 loss at the hands of Diller-Odell. While losing is never fun, Lewiston can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 274th, while Diller-Odell is ranked 69th).
Justice Currie was Lewiston's leading scorer, having posted 11 points. Currie also led the team in rebounds with three.
Maddie Janssen took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with an assist.
Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Parkview Christian's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 42-31 to Nebraska Christian. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Parkview Christian has scored all season.
Lewiston bumped their record down to 0-6 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Parkview Christian, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-1.
Lewiston came up short against Parkview Christian in their previous matchup back in February, falling 37-31. Can Lewiston avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
