If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Lakeland Regional. They will be playing at home against Pascack Hills at at 6:30 PM on Friday. Lakeland Regional will be hoping to continue their now three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.
Lakeland Regional simply couldn't be stopped last Friday, as they easily beat Fort Lee 49-13. Among those leading the charge for Lakeland Regional was senior Anthony Tanner, who rushed for 145 yards and 4 touchdowns. Tanner has been a consistent playmaker for Lakeland Regional as this was the 6th good game in a row from him.
Meanwhile, we expected Pascack Hills to have trouble with the significantly higher ranked Mahwah, and they did. Pascack Hills suffered a grim 6-27 defeat to Mahwah. Pascack Hills' loss continues a disappointing trend for the team, making it five losses in a row.
Lakeland Regional's win lifted them to 5-1 while Pascack Hills's defeat dropped them down to 0-5. We'll find out if Lakeland Regional can add another positive mark to their record or if Pascack Hills can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Lakeland Regional's step.
