Eagleville extended the longest winning streak in A District 9 this week by beating Middle Tennessee Christian, 32-8. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Huntland lost to Fayetteville 37-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Cameron Mahaffey caught 3 passes for 45 yards in the loss.
Huntland's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Hornets feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Evan Ray has thrown for 808 yards and 5 touchdowns this season, while Tyler Strope has 18 catches for 344 yards.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Eagleville takes on Moore County. As it stands, Steve Carson's team is in first, while the Raiders are in fourth.
Community made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 11,977 from 12,719. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 34-33 victory over Moore County last week.
