The Frankenmuth Eagles waltzed into their contest on Friday with nine straight wins but they left with ten. They blew past Bridgeport 72-14 at home. Frankenmuth has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 21 points or more this season.
Leading Frankenmuth to victory were Clare Conzelmann and Mia McLaughlin. Conzelmann scored 17 points along with two steals, while McLaughlin scored 17 points along with two blocks. Conzelmann hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Alyson Peterson, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Frankenmuth pushed their record up to 13-2 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.4 points per game. As for Bridgeport, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.
Frankenmuth didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 51-31 win vs. Hemlock on the 10th. Bridgeport will be playing at home against Birch Run at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Bridgeport is facing Birch Run at the right time seeing as Birch Run is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
