The St. Francis Prep Terriers took care of business in their home opener on Friday (and then some). They blew past Stevenson 69-47. That's another feather in the cap for St. Francis Prep, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Francis Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Oesoemana Sacko, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 10 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Vere Anthony, who scored 15 points along with 7 assists and 6 rebounds.
St. Francis Prep's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Stevenson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Francis Prep will take on Eagle Academy II at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday. Stevenson will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Mott Haven at 5:00 p.m. on December 12th.
