Choctaw County have been homebodies their last two matches, but they are heading out on Friday. They will square off against Hatley at 7:00 PM. Choctaw County are cruising in on a three-game winning streak while Hatley are stumbling in off of three consecutive losses.
Choctaw County didn't have too many spare points in their contest with South Pontotoc last Friday, but they still walked away with a 20-14 victory. Choctaw County found their leader in underclassman sophomore Tylan Carter, who rushed for 90 yards and 2 touchdowns. Carter has now scored at least one touchdown in the past five games.
Meanwhile, it's always hard to lose, and it's even harder to lose by a single point. Just ask Hatley, the unfortunate recipient of a 27-28 defeat at the hands of Nettleton. Things were expected to be close, but in this case the state rankings mixed up the winning team.
Choctaw County took the game and then some with a 50-7 win over Hatley the last time the two teams met.
