Softball Recap: Central Davidson Makes It Three in a Row on the Road

Central Davidson had won three straight on the road, but on Friday they bumped up to 14-2 to make it four. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Davie County War Eagles a 5-0 shutout. This was payback for the Spartans, who suffered a 7-3 loss the last time these two teams met.

As for Davie County, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 9-7 record. The shutout was out of character for they seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.

For Davie County's part, they got a good showing from Kinley Pasquet, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Pasquet has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Central Davidson will take on High Point Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bison have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.77 runs per game on average), something the Spartans will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Davie County, they will square off against Mooresville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
