The Frankenmuth Eagles can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent match on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Birch Run 71-18 on the road. Winning may never get old, but Frankenmuth sure is getting used to it with their ninth in a row.
It was another big night for Mia McLaughlin, who went 9 for 15 from beyond the arc en route to 33 points and 2 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyson Peterson, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Frankenmuth's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.5 points per game. As for Birch Run, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Frankenmuth will take on Bridgeport at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Birch Run, they will be playing at home against Freeland at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Birch Run will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 539th, while Freeland is ranked 26th).
