Charlotte Christian added to the longest winning streak in NCISAA Charlotte Independent Schools this week by beating Charlotte Country Day, 45-21. The victory was the eighth in a row for the team.
Charlotte Latin led the league in scoring this week by notching 58 points on Cannon.
Charlotte Christian's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Bo Hines threw for 271 and 2 touchdowns and Garrett Bradbury had 123 yards receiving. On the ground Elijah Deveaux chipped in 177 yards. Adam Durden helped Charlotte Christian's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 106 yards.

Thanks to the talents of Austin Kendall and Deveaux, Charlotte Christian has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Kendall is tops in the league in passing with 1,009 yards, while Deveaux has rushed for 912 yards this season. Tops in the league in receiving yards is Bob Witman's team's Thomas Jackson, with 464 yards on 35 catches.
Deveaux of the the Knights is only 88 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. Deveaux has rushed for 912 yards on 124 carries so far this year.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Providence Day takes on the Buccaneers. The Chargers are currently in third, while Charlotte Country Day is in fourth.
The longest pass in the league this week was acheived by Charlotte Christian's Hines. He connected with Durden on a 76-yard pass as the Knights bested the Buccaneers.
