The Lake Country Lutheran Lightning typically have all the answers at home, but on Friday the Brookfield Academy Blue Knights proved too difficult a challenge. Brookfield Academy had just enough and edged Lake Country Lutheran out 55-53. Winning may never get old, but Brookfield Academy sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
It was another big night for Luci Jensen, who scored 32 points. The match was her fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Amelia Rigel, who scored 12 points.
Brookfield Academy pushed their record up to 4-1 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Lake Country Lutheran, their loss dropped their record down to 5-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brookfield Academy is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Catholic Central at 5:30 p.m. on December 12th. As for Lake Country Lutheran, they will challenge Catholic Memorial at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Catholic Memorial has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 337 points over their last five contests.
