The Tintic Miners pushed their score all the way to 55 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 61-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Piute. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Tintic in their matchups with Piute: they've now lost three in a row.
Tintic's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Hagen Barton, who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Haygen Jameson, who scored 10 points along with 9 rebounds.
Tintic's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Piute, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Tintic will head out on the road to face off against Pinnacle at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Piute, they will be playing at home against Monument Valley at 8:30 p.m. on Friday.
