The Mohave Accelerated Patriots will take on the River Valley Dust Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Mohave Accelerated is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Parker a 23-0 shutout on Monday. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Broncs recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.
Megan Jones made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tanner Banks, who fired off two home runs, six RBI, and four runs while going 4-for-4. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.2 runs per game. Kennedy Lamb also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.
Mohave Accelerated hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most four strikeouts in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, River Valley had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They were the clear victor by a 14-0 margin over Yuma on Friday.
Like Mohave Accelerated, River Valley also got a great game from a two-way player: Sophia Reyes. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Reyes was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three doubles, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Tamarie Williams was a standout: she scored four runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Kaelynne Niswonger was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.
Mohave Accelerated's record now sits at 5-1. As for River Valley, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-0.
