Center Grove (Greenwood, Ind.), the two participants in the Indiana Class 6A state championship game.
Late in the game, Carmel has the 13-10 lead when Center Grove attempted a 50-yard field goal.
Luke Eckert's kick carried the distance, bounced on the crossbar and gave Center Grove a tie.
But wait, Carmel had called a timeout.
No problem, Center Grove (12-2) had to re-kick and Eckert's boot was true again to send the game into overtime.
In overtime, Carmel (10-4) halted Center Grove's attempt at scoring with a fumble recovery at the goal line and the sealed the win with
Conner Coghlan's 20-yard field goal.
